On June 24th 2010, Om Diva launched the debut ready-to-wear collection of the DCU Young Designer of the Year, Aine Kilbride, graduate of the Grafton Academy.
Om Diva, one of Dublin's leading independent fashion boutiques, hosted the event that brought together the worlds of fashion, art and music, culminating in the launch of the Gustav Klimt-inspired new collection by one of Ireland's most exciting young designers, Aine Kilbride.
Aine Kilbride, a graduate of the Grafton Academy, was twice a finalist in the Nokia Young Fashion Designer Awards and was a finalist in this year's Fusion Young Designer of the Year. She is the winner of the 2010 DCU Young Designer of the Year, awarded at the DCU Fashion Show, the premier event for Irish student designers. Inspired by the textures of the paintings of Gustav Klimt and the idea of Modern Heartbreak, Aine's collection will be worked in sensual, tactile fabrics such as silk, leather and chiffon, with a palette of monchromes and metallics.
Aine's award-winning haute-couture designs are on display in the window of the boutique as part of an interactive visual-art installation, entitled ‘Dresses and Flowers and all things nice…that’s what girls are made of’'.
Om Diva is situated in the Market Arcade, South Great Georges Street,
Sponsors of the evening were the Pygmalion bar and club of Powerscourt Centre, South William Street.

Niamh Rafferty from Grafton Academy was one of the two joint runners up this year. Niamh Rafferty experimented with wool to create her design 'Encased'. Niamh used felted wool hand studded characters to make a jacket to team with elastic bondage trousers.
